New cargo route from Turku to Sweden

The Port of Turku is hosting a brand new cargo route from 13th June 2009 onwards.

 

Lillbacka Powerco operates the route under the name Powerline from Turku to Oxelösund, Sweden and Travemünde, Germany.

 

The ship leaves twice weekly from Turku to Oxelösund and once a week to Travemünde, with departures from Turku on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and arrivals on Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Oxelösund is located some 100 km south of Stockholm, while Travemünde is the biggest cargo port on the northern coast of Germany.

 

The Port of Turku already offers six departures daily to Stockholm and six a week to Travemünde. There are also many other sea cargo connections from Turku to e.g. Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
