Wizz Air now flies from Turku to Warsaw

Hungarian budget carrier Wizz Air will inaugurate a new route between Turku and Warsaw, Poland on 10th April.
 
There will be two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing Turku at 10.10 pm and arriving in Warsaw at 11.00 pm. The Warsaw departure will be at 6.55 pm arriving in Turku at 9.40 pm.
 
The Warsaw route will be Wizz Air’s fourth from Turku Airport. Flights to Gdansk started in 2008, to Riga in February 2010, and the airline starts flying to Budapest in March this year.
 
The Warsaw connection adds a new country and city to Turku Airport’s roster, which already includes direct flights to Helsinki, Tampere and Oulu in Finland, as well as foreign destinations Stockholm, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Riga and Tallinn.
 
Kimmo Holopainen, Development Manager at Finavia, says it’s possible there will be new airlines and new routes coming to Turku Airport in the near future.
